Overview

The Otto Schmidt knowledge source in Harvey adds German secondary-source commentary from the Otto Schmidt Legal Data Hub across business law, tax law, and accounting. Citations trace back to the underlying content.

Important: An admin must enable the Otto Schmidt knowledge source before it can be used in your workspace.

Enable the Otto Schmidt Integration (Admins)

  1. Go to Settings and select Integrations.
  2. Locate Otto Schmidt and select Enable.
  3. Enter your firm's Otto Schmidt or Legal Data Analytics API credentials to complete setup.

Once credentials are saved, Otto Schmidt is available for users to select as a knowledge source.

Note: Otto Schmidt is connected at the workspace level. Individual users cannot connect their own personal API credentials.

Using the Otto Schmidt Knowledge Source

  1. Go to Assistant and draft your query.
  2. Select Sources, then choose Otto Schmidt.
  3. Select Set filters to narrow the scope of your search, if desired.
  4. Run your query.
  5. Check the Sources panel to confirm Otto Schmidt content was cited.
