Release Notes
Additional Sources in Harvey for Outlook
Harvey for Outlook now supports additional knowledge sources, bringing firm documents, jurisdictional research, and public web results into your email queries.
What's New
You can now use additional knowledge sources in the Harvey for Outlook add-in:
- iManage: Select files from iManage with the iManage file picker and attach them to your query.
- Regional knowledge sources: Query jurisdiction- and practice-specific research sources, such as Brazil, European Union, and United States Case Law.
- Web Search: Draw on public web results in Harvey's response.
Why It Matters
With more sources available in the Harvey for Outlook add-in, you won’t need to switch to the Harvey web app as often to query them. You can now bring a precedent from your iManage or jurisdiction-specific research into your queries alongside the email you’re working on.
How to Use
- In Outlook, open an email, then open the Harvey for Outlook add-in.
- Write a new query or open an existing thread.
- Select the
plus icon in the prompt text box.
- Select the source you want to add:
- For iManage, sign in if prompted, then select the files to attach.
- For a regional knowledge source or Web Search, enable it from the list.
- Send your query.
FAQs
Q: Why don't I see a source I use in the Harvey web app?
Harvey for Outlook supports a subset of the sources in the web app. Your workspace's settings also determine which sources appear. If you expected to see a source but can’t find it, contact your Harvey admin.
