Release Notes
Custom Knowledge Source Filters
Create a customized filter of the knowledge sources most relevant to you for reuse.
What’s New
You can now save your preferred filter settings for a Knowledge Source as a custom filter and reuse it in later queries, so you don't have to reset your filter preferences for each query.
With this feature, you can:
- Create custom filters for any Knowledge Source, including Web search.
- Set a custom filter as the default for a Knowledge Source, so it applies automatically whenever you attach that source to a query.
Note: Custom filters are set at the individual level; your saved filters apply only to your own queries and don't change settings for anyone else in your workspace.
Why It Matters
If you use the same Knowledge Sources repeatedly for a matter or project, re-selecting the same Knowledge Source filters for every query can be time-consuming. This feature lets you save those filter preferences as a preset that can be applied quickly to future queries.
How To Use
Refer to our Regional Knowledge Sources Overview for instructions on creating custom knowledge source filters.
FAQs
Q: Can I share a custom Knowledge Source filter with colleagues?
Not yet, though Harvey plans to announce additional custom filter capabilities soon.
Q: How is this feature different from Memory?
Custom filters are for recurring searches where you want to specify the exact sources and filters used. Memory captures broader preferences, such as style and formatting.
