Release Notes
Gmail Search
Search Gmail directly for emails, labels, and threads from within a Harvey thread.
What’s New
Harvey now integrates directly with Gmail, letting you search emails, threads, and labels from within a Harvey thread. You can list email threads chronologically, search individual messages, and pull a complete thread's history into Harvey for full context. Gmail Search also supports label-based search: you can list your full label taxonomy, including default labels like Starred and Important alongside your custom labels, and target a search within a specific label.
Why It Matters
Legal teams generate a lot of internal knowledge outside the DMS: scheduling, strategic discussion, and client decisions that live in inbox threads.
Gmail Search brings that context into the same workflow as Harvey's other legal research tools. You work from a fuller picture of firm knowledge without switching context to search your inbox separately. Thread and label controls scope a search precisely and surface a conversation's full history once you find it.

FAQs
Q: Can I use this to send or draft emails?
No. Composing and sending emails are not part of Gmail Search.
Q: Does a Gmail search download the full content of my emails?
Not by default. Harvey first narrows results using message metadata, and only retrieves a full email body when a follow-up question needs deeper analysis.
