Live Prompt Dictation on Mobile

What’s New

We’ve made improvements to the prompt dictation feature in the Harvey mobile app, bringing it in line with the dictation experience elsewhere in Harvey. Prompt dictation in the Harvey mobile app now includes:

• Live transcription: Your words appear as text in real time as you speak, letting you follow along while dictating.
• No time limit: Dictate for as long as you need in a single session.
• Improved transcription quality: Fewer incorrect or unexpected words, including on longer dictation sessions.

Why It Matters

Previously, you needed to wait until you stopped dictating to see your text input, with no way to catch errors along the way. Additionally, a dropped connection could cost you the entire recording.

These changes help you stay on top of your in-progress dictations and help preserve your work without the need to worry about time limits or a lost connection.

How To Use

1. Open the Harvey mobile app.
2. In the Assistant tab, select the microphone icon in the prompt window.
3. Speak your query. Harvey transcribes your spoken prompt in real time.
4. Select the checkmark icon when you’re finished speaking.
5. Review the dictated text, then send your query.

FAQs

Q: What happens if my connection drops while I'm dictating?
The transcription captured up to that point is preserved. Only the last few seconds of untranscribed audio may be lost, not the entire session.
