Updated Spaces

What’s New

Spaces have been updated to better reflect how lawyers work. A Space is now the single home for everything related to a matter: the matter's background, people, queries, documents, agent activity, tasks and phases can live in in one place.

Key Features

• Updated Spaces UI: Spaces has been redesigned to make it easier to start or return to previous work.
• Space Context: Space Admins can add context to a Space to help Harvey understand the parties, background, goals, and standing instructions for the project.
• Tasks: Ask Harvey to create, assign, and update tasks in a Space using natural language. Assign work to a colleague, to Harvey, or to a custom agent, and track it through to completion without leaving the Space.
• Phases: Group related tasks into clear stages so your team can organize work and track progress at a glance.
• Matter-Specific Spaces: Law firms can now tie a Space to a specific client matter (CM#) so that ethical walls and access controls apply automatically to everything inside; in-house teams can create project-specific Spaces and control what's visible internally versus externally.
• Notifications: Notifications keeps Space task assignments, status updates, comments and mentions in one place.
• Updated Assistant Composer: You can now query a Space you’re a member of from Assistant by attaching it via the Work in selector.

Why It Matters

Updated Spaces gives you a single, matter-centered home for documents, context, queries, agent work, tasks, and collaborators, so you spend less time recreating background or searching across tools.

You can also associate a Space with a client matter, allowing relevant access controls and ethical walls to apply consistently while your team tracks work from start to finish.
