What's Coming

We will expand Workflow Builder to support PowerPoint and Excel file creation, enabling custom Workflow agents to generate and edit structured outputs directly. This will allow teams to automate more complex, multi-step tasks that require formatted deliverables beyond text.

Users will be able to define output formats and leverage example templates to ensure consistency across generated files. By extending file capabilities into Workflow agents, teams can standardize recurring deliverables and scale high-quality output across matters.

Feature Highlights

  • Generate and edit PowerPoint and Excel files directly within custom Workflow agents
  • Define output formats to ensure consistent, structured deliverables
  • Use templates to standardize common workflows and outputs
  • Support more complex, multi-step tasks with end-to-end automation

User Flow

  1. Add a PowerPoint drafting or Excel drafting block into your workflow agent.
  2. Under the “Presentation(s)/Spreadsheet(s) to edit” section, upload presentations/spreadsheets to edit — either directly from your computer/vault as an embedded file, or from a prior workflow block output.
    1. If you do not upload an existing presentation or spreadsheet template, Harvey will generate a net new presentation or spreadsheet as the workflow agent output.
  3. Under “Workflow Agent context” section, add other workflow agent context that Harvey should reference when editing or generating your presentation or spreadsheet.
  4. Under “Instructions”, tell Harvey how to edit your PPT/XLSX.
  5. Adjust the label of your drafted presentation or spreadsheet output.

Use Case Examples

  • Creating client pitch decks that align to a specific format, based on user-uploaded details on the scope of the matter
  • Generating diligence checklists in spreadsheet format to make it easier to export and track statuses
