Personalize Harvey with User-Level Memory

What’s New

User-level Memory is now available: a way to save your personal preferences and have them apply automatically in future sessions, across the web app, the Word and Outlook add-ins, and workflow and playbook runs. With Memory, you can:

• Save preferences from any conversation: Tell Harvey to remember something, or let Harvey recognize an implied preference on its own. Either way, Harvey shows you exactly what it saved.
• Save multiple preferences at once: State several preferences in one prompt, and Harvey saves each one as a separate, individually editable memory.
• Apply memories across sessions and surfaces: Saved memories carry forward into new threads and apply across the web app, workflow and playbook runs, as well as the Harvey add-ins for Word and Outlook.
• Maintain full visibility and control: See memory citations wherever a saved memory shapes a response, and manage all your memories in your personal settings.

Why It Matters

With Memory, Harvey can remember specifics about your preferred styling choices for outputs, or how you like to approach specific tasks. This lets you spend less time restating context and more time on the substance of the work. Memory citations keep this transparent, so you can always see which saved memory, if any, shaped a given response.

How To Use

You can get started with Memory by going to Personal Settings → Memory and selecting Personalize Harvey to be guided through adding your first few preferences.

If you don’t see a Memory section in your Personal Settings, an admin may need to enable the Memory permission for your role. Admins can visit Access Control & Permission Management for information on how to manage role permissions.
