Overview

Playbook Review in Web brings Harvey's contract review experience into the browser: you can upload a contract, select a playbook, and run a full review without leaving Harvey on web. This experience delivers the same review quality as Harvey’s Word add-in, with a structured results layout and the ability to download or save your redlined document.

Key Features

  • Continue working in web Assistant after your review: After your playbook runs in an Assistant thread, you can keep collaborating directly in that same thread. Ask Assistant to edit your document, refine specific outputs, or explore alternative positions without switching tools or restarting your workflow.
  • Run Playbooks in shared spaces: Playbook Review is available in Shared Spaces, so you can run reviews in collaborative environments that include guest accounts. This makes it easier to work with external parties or colleagues who don't have full Harvey access.

How to Run a Playbook Review in Web

  1. Open a new thread in the Harvey web Assistant.
  2. Attach the document you want to review.
  3. Select a playbook from your Library.
  4. Provide review context. Harvey will prompt you for more information, such as the parties involved, position strategy, general context, or supporting documents.
  5. Run the review. While Harvey reviews, Assistant is not available for other interactions.
  6. Review your results. When the review is complete, results appear in a three-panel layout:
    1. Assistant panel: Maps each rule to a Unacceptable, Needs Review, or Acceptable category, along with rationale and citations linked to the corresponding redline.
    2. DOCX panel: Shows the redlined DOCX with applied changes.
    3. Reasoning card panel: Per-rule cards with the position selected and rationale; you can add or regenerate a comment on each card.

Note: Issues found outside the scope of the playbook are flagged separately in the results.

7. Apply suggestions and export.

  • Select Apply all with comments from the top bar to apply all suggestions with comment bubbles in a single action.
  • Download the redlined DOCX, or save it directly to a Vault.
  • If you’d like to keep editing in Word after reviewing in web Assistant, download the redlined DOCX and open it in Word.
