What's Coming
We’re bringing published custom agents into the Harvey add-in for Microsoft Outlook. With this release, users can select an agent and run it against the email they are working in. Agent instructions and authorized knowledge sources are applied inline, alongside your normal mailbox context.
Harvey agents can now help you handle your inbox:
- Hand off work the moment it lands. Kick off a custom agent against an email or an email attachment without leaving Outlook.
- Build agents that keep you on top of your inbox. You can build your own custom agents tailored for email: agents that summarize your email or your inbox the way you like, or emails that draft replies consistently.

Q: Do I need to create new agents for Outlook?
A: Outlook runs the text-based agents your team has already created and published in the Harvey web app - no separate setup is required.You can create brand new agents specifically targeted to your inbox, like email summary agents, or email response agents, to take advantage of this new surface for agents in Harvey.
Q: Does this change the existing Outlook actions?
A: No. Summarize, Draft Reply, and the other built-in Outlook actions work exactly as they do today.
Q: How does this change interact with Outlook connector or Outlook permissions?
A: Agent capabilities may change based on whether your workspace and your mailbox have made the full inbox connector available to Harvey:
- Applies to Outlook add-in overall: Agents can operate on the email you have open (e.g summarize this email, or analyze the email attachment in view).
- Applies to Outlook add-in + full inbox search access: Agents can reason across your entire inbox. This includes summarizing multiple emails, or analyzing attachments or content across multiple emails
