Upcoming Feature
Scheduling Custom Agents
Scheduling Custom Agents lets teams set a cadence for repeatable agent work — so routine tasks can run automatically in the background without manual intervention.
What's Coming
Scheduling brings automation to Agent Builder — users set a cadence once, and Harvey handles the rest, running the agent in the background and sending an email notification when results are ready. This is purpose-built for routine, repeatable work: compliance checks, horizon scanning, obligation tracking, and similar tasks that follow a predictable timeframe.
Feature Highlights
- Set a recurring schedule for any custom agent — no need to manually trigger each run
- Email notification sent automatically once the agent's response is ready
- Scheduled agents run independently and do not support user inputs in instructions
Note: Only the agent builder can create or edit a schedule — scheduled agents cannot be shared
FAQs
Q: What kinds of tasks is scheduling best suited for?
Repeatable, time-based work — such as routine compliance checks, horizon scanning, and obligation tracking — where the same agent needs to run on a consistent cadence without manual intervention.
Q: Can scheduled agents accept user inputs?
No. Since scheduled agents run independently, they cannot rely on user inputs as part of their instructions. If a user input is built in, the agent will notify the user that required information was incomplete.
Q: Who can manage a scheduled agent?
Only the builder of the custom agent can create or edit its schedule. Scheduled agents cannot be shared with others.
Q: Is scheduling available in the legacy Workflow Builder?
No. Scheduling is only available in the new Agent Builder.
