Simplified Governance for Custom Agents, Workflows, and Playbooks
Manage governance more easily across custom agents, workflows, and playbooks, while still controlling how resources are shared.
What’s Coming
We’re introducing a simplified model for how custom agents and workflows are governed in workspaces. This includes:
- Removing the concept of “draft” vs “published” — once a resource is created, the builder can use it immediately
- Admins can control approvals for sharing at different levels of granularity — so they can ensure useful resources are available to wider groups, without creating approval bottlenecks

As part of these changes, approvals shift from creation to sharing. By default, any workspace-wide share request is sent to admins, but admins can control sharing approvals at lower levels as well.

- What do these changes impact?
- Governance and sharing settings will impact custom agents, workflows, and playbooks. There are no changes to other resources in Harvey, such as review tables or vaults.
- Where can admins in my workspace set custom approval settings that differ from the new defaults?
- Sharing and permission settings will be accessible via the Command Center to admins (under Command Center → Configurations → Sharing).
- Where can admins see approvals for custom agents and workflows?
- Share approvals will continue to be managed by admins within the Reporting tab of Command Center (Command Center → Reporting → Agents or Command Center → Reporting → Workflows).
- Can I set certain admins or other user roles to approve custom agents?
- Not at this time — all workspace admins will continue to get sharing approval requests across resources.
