Overview
Custom agents are now accessible directly from Assistant. You no longer need to navigate to Library to find an agent before starting your work. Instead, you can call a custom agent from within Assistant and use it alongside any other context in your thread.
You can call on a custom agent in two ways:
- Tag a specific agent by typing @ in Assistant and selecting it by name.
- Open the mini-library above the composer and select an agent from there.
This makes it faster to bring the right agent into a task without switching surfaces mid-workflow. It also makes it easier to discover and use agents that your workspace has configured for recurring legal work.
How to Use
Tag an Agent With @
- Go to Assistant.
- When writing your query, type @ to see a list of agents and knowledge sources.
- Type the name of the agent you want to use, or scroll through the list to find the agent you need.
- Select the agent, then send your query.
Select an Agent From the Mini-Library
- Go to Assistant.
- Select Library at the top left of the composer.
- Choose an agent from the list, or use the search bar to find a specific agent. You can narrow down your results using the Practice Area and Creator filter menus.
- The agent is added to your Assistant prompt. Write and send your query to use the selected agent.
Example Use Cases
Here are a few ways to use custom agents directly from Assistant:
Transactional: When starting to evaluate a merger agreement, tag the "Draft Sell-Side Markup of M&A Agreement" agent in Assistant. Upload the buyer-side agreement and any negotiation materials as additional context.
Litigation: When summarizing evidence before trial, upload a transcript and a relevant vault, then select the "Compare Witness Testimony to Document Record" agent. The agent produces a structured summary of discrepancies to help focus follow-up and case strategy.
In-house: When workplace complaints escalate, use the "Draft Investigation Plan" agent to create a clear outline for compliance and HR. Share the agent in a Space so both teams can run it directly.

Yes, you can include documents and additional context (such as negotiation strategies, transcripts, or relevant vaults) alongside the custom agent in the same prompt.
Q: Can I add workflows that were created using the Workflow Builder?
No. You can add text-based agents built using Agent Builder, but not workflows built using Workflow Builder.
