Enable the Harvey Word Add-In for Your Workspace

This article covers how Harvey workspace administrators can deploy and enable the Harvey Word add-in across their organization.
Once enabled, users can follow the instructions in our Download and Install the Harvey Word Add-In article to start using the Harvey add-in within Word.
Deployment Options
IT administrators can deploy the Harvey Word add-in across their organization using the Microsoft 365 admin center or by sideloading the add-in.
Using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
We recommend following the instructions in Microsoft’s article on deploying Office add-ins using the Microsoft 365 admin center, which guides you through deploying an add-in to users and groups within an organization.
Microsoft also provides information on determining if centralized deployment of Office add-ins works for your organization.
Sideloading the Add-In (Windows only)
In some cases, such as on-premise environments, you may need to sideload the add-in on Windows PCs.
To do this, follow Microsoft’s instructions on how to sideload Office Add-ins on Windows from a network share. The add-in manifest XML files for this deployment process are listed below:
Enable the Word Add-In in Harvey
Once you’ve deployed the Harvey Word add-in to your organization, the next step is enabling it within Harvey’s Command Center.
- Go to Command Center → Configurations → Ecosystem.
- Find the listing for Harvey for Word and enable using the toggle switch.
- Manage permissions for specific roles and users by selecting Grant access.

Download and Install the Add-In
After the add-in has been deployed to your workspace and enabled within Harvey, users can now install and use the add-in within Word.

Note: If Harvey releases an update that changes how the add-in appears in Word’s ribbon (such as its button label or icon), you may need to redeploy the add-in. Users with manually installed copies may need to reinstall it.
