Overview

Lovdata content is available as a Knowledge Source in Harvey, giving you access to authoritative Norwegian legal content. When you add Lovdata to a query, Harvey grounds its responses in up-to-date statutory and regulatory content in Norway, so you can ask legal questions, draft documents, and analyze matters without searching a separate system or uploading materials manually.

You can access Lovdata content directly within Harvey without purchasing a separate subscription.

Note: Court decisions and preparatory works are not included in Lovdata. For Norwegian case law and preparatory works, see Gyldendal Rettsdata.

Add Lovdata to a Query

Lovdata Knowledge Source within Harvey
  1. When drafting a query in Harvey, select the Sources Sources icon.
  2. Toggle on Lovdata as a source.
  3. [Optional] Set filters to narrow the scope of your search by selecting the Settings Edit source filters icon next to the Lovedata source.
  4. Select Set filters to narrow the scope of your search, if desired. Filters include:
    1. Lover: Current consolidated Acts
    2. Sentrale forskrifter: Current consolidated central regulations
  5. Run your query.
  6. Check the Sources panel to the right of Harvey’s response to confirm whether Lovdata content was cited.
