Release Notes
GPT-6 Astra Model Access
GPT-6 Astra is now available as a model provider in Harvey, giving workspaces that request it access through the model selector.
What’s New
GPT-6 Astra is now available in Harvey. Built by OpenAI, Astra is designed to support complex legal tasks with a lawyer-like approach to analysis, distinguishing between documents and established records, surfacing unsupported assumptions, and turning gaps into concrete drafting positions.
Select GPT-6 Astra when working on tasks that benefit from this kind of analytical approach.
Important:
- GPT-6 Astra usage falls under our Extended AI category and requires a signed contract addendum. Contact your Customer Success Manager or account team to enable GPT-6 Astra for your workspace.
- GPT-6 Astra supports Zero Data Retention (ZDR), consistent with how default models in Harvey's core services operate
Why It Matters
GPT-6 Astra gives teams a model option built to approach legal work with the judgment of an experienced lawyer. In Harvey's early testing, Astra showed a significant quality improvement over GPT-5.6 Sol on complex legal tasks. Because Harvey remains multi-model by design, you can route a task to Astra, or to any other model, based on what best fits the work at hand.
How To Use
In a Harvey thread, open the Model Selector and select GPT-6 Astra from the list of models. Admins can manage access to the model selector through Access Control & Permission Management.
