What's Coming

The in-Vault "Ask Harvey" composer is going away. In its place, a single “New” button will start Assistant threads and review tables from your Vault files, and new threads will save to your personal History, private to you until you add them to the Vault.

Feature Highlights

One button to start threads and review tables

Start from your selection. Select files in the Vault file table, or select nothing to use the whole Vault, then click “New” to open a thread or review table with those files attached as context. The same button replaces the "Start querying…" prompts on example, view-only and knowledge-base Vaults.

Threads stay private until you share them

Keep exploratory work to yourself. New threads that use a Vault as a knowledge source save to your personal History instead of filing into the shared Vault. Before this change, querying a Vault moved the thread into that Vault, often before the user noticed or meant to share it.

Share when you're ready. Click Add to Vault on any thread to move it into a Vault where teammates with access can find it.

FAQs

Q: Will I still be able to see past queries saved to a Vault?
A: Yes. Existing queries don't change. This update applies only to new queries.

Q: Can I still save a query to a Vault?
A: Yes. Click Add to Vault at the top of any query and pick the Vault.

Q: Where do I find my queries now?
A: In your History. If you've added a query to a Vault, you can also open it from that Vault.

Q: Did our retention settings change?
A: No. Your query retention and Vault retention policies are unchanged. What changed is which policy applies: new threads save to your History, so the workspace query retention policy applies. A thread follows Vault retention only after you add it to a Vault. Threads already in a Vault before this change keep following that Vault's policy.
