Last updated: Sep 30, 2026
Harvey integrates directly with SharePoint, allowing you to search your connected SharePoint and OneDrive folders and add documents to Harvey threads and Vaults.
Important: An admin must enable the SharePoint connector in your workspace before you can use it.
Before you can begin using the connector, follow the steps below to authenticate your individual SharePoint account:
- Go to
Personal Settings, then select Connectors.
- Find SharePoint in the list, then select Sign In.
- Follow the prompts to authenticate your SharePoint account in Harvey.
After authenticating, you’ll see a “Connected” badge next to SharePoint in your connectors list.
You can add specific SharePoint files as context in a thread or upload them to a Vault.

- Select
Files and choose Add from SharePoint.
- Use the embedded file picker to browse and select documents from authorized SharePoint workspaces.
- Send a query with the SharePoint documents attached.

- In a Vault, select
Upload files.
- Find SharePoint (with OneDrive) in the list, then select Choose folder or Choose files.
- Choose your files or folder to upload and confirm. Your SharePoint documents will be uploaded to the Vault.
Important: Search requires a separate permission from the base SharePoint connector. If SharePoint search isn't available to you, check with your workspace admin to make sure you have the Use SharePoint search permission.
You can ask Harvey to search SharePoint by enabling it as a source in a thread:
- Select
Sources.
- Find and enable SharePoint in the list.
- Enter your query.
- Review the response. Harvey incorporates SharePoint and OneDrive content to provide relevant insights.
Scope or Filter Your Search
You can narrow a search by naming a specific site, folder, or SharePoint URL, or by including details like file type, author, or date in your query.
Examples:
- Add a specific location to your search: "Search the Diligence Room site for..." or paste a SharePoint URL directly
- Add a date range: "Find files modified in the last 30 days about..."
- Use an exact phrase: Put the phrase in quotes, e.g. "material adverse effect"
Harvey supports automated, one-way daily syncing of documents from a selected SharePoint folder into a Vault or Knowledge Base. This helps streamline content management across large teams by keeping Harvey up to date with the contents of a SharePoint folder.
- From Harvey’s side bar, select
Vault.
- Select New vault.
- When choosing a file source, select Sync a folder.
- Find SharePoint folder (with OneDrive) in the list and select Choose folder.
- Select the desired folder from your SharePoint account.
- Add a Vault name and set your preferred sync time. You can optionally add a client matter number and a Vault description.
- Select Create.
Harvey will mirror the contents of the selected folder daily. You can trigger a manual sync or pause it at any time.
