Using Connectors in Harvey
View the connectors available in your workspace, sign in with your own account, and add connectors as sources in Harvey threads.
Last updated: Sep 30, 2026
Overview
Connectors give Harvey direct access to the tools and data your firm already uses, such as your document management system, email, and deal databases. Once you sign in to a connector, you can add it as a source in a Harvey thread and work with that content in your queries without exporting files or switching between systems.
Your workspace admin decides which connectors are available and who can use them. After your admin enables a connector and grants you access, you can use it to import files, designate sources for your Harvey threads, and more. Most connectors require you to sign in with your own account for that tool, allowing Harvey to access the data your associated with your account.
For admin instructions, as well as the full list of connectors and their capabilities, see our Connector Library article.
View and Manage Your Available Connectors

- Go to
Personal Settings → Connectors.
- Find or search for an available connector from the list.
- Select a connector to see its available integrations (API, MCP, or both), and whether you're signed in.
Sign In to a Connector From the Connectors List
- Go to
Personal Settings → Connectors.
- With a connector selected, select Sign in next to the integration you want to connect. Harvey redirects you to the external tool.
- Log in to the external tool with your credentials and approve access.
- Return to Harvey. The connector now shows that your account is signed in.
Note: Most connectors require you to sign in to your account in order to use them. If no sign-in is required, the connector shows Enabled next to its listed integrations.
If you don’t sign in from your Personal Settings, Harvey can also prompt you to authenticate with a connector when you add it as a source in a thread for the first time.
Change Tool Behavior for MCP Connectors
Connectors with MCP integrations allow you to adjust tool settings for each of its available functions: Always allow, Ask every time, or Disable.

An admin sets the default for each tool, but you can choose a more restrictive setting if desired.
- In
Personal Settings → Connectors, select a connector that you’ve signed into with an MCP integration.
- Under Tools, adjust the setting for each available MCP tool.
Add a Connector to a Harvey Thread

- In a thread, select
Sources and turn on the connector you want to use.
- If available, select Edit tools to limit what Harvey can do with the connector and choose what tools to allow.
- Write and run your query.
- If Harvey needs to take an action that requires confirmation, review the request and approve or decline it as the response is generated.
Notes & Limitations
- Each MCP connector handles data under its provider's own service terms. For security guidance, see MCP Connectors in Harvey.
- Some connectors are in Early Access and may not be available in every workspace. See Connector Library for each connector's status.
